Evergreen Painting
Pristine snow covering a forest of evergreens makes the perfect subject for a painting. In this class, you will learn perspective in composition, color value, and shading, using acrylic paint on canvas. Art instructor Noreen Powell will take you step by step through the process of creating your own beautiful winter scene. This class is perfect for beginner and intermediate painters. All materials, including acrylic paint, brushes, and canvas, are provided.
Course will be held at The Living Room Art Gallery, Historic St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Ave, Menands.

Introduction to Quilling
Learn the basics of quilling (coiling/shaping thin strips of colorful paper) to create a beautiful design suitable for hanging, mailing or framing. Quilling requires a little patience and dexterity, and a willingness to get glue on your fingers, but you will love the results! Alyssa will walk you through the basics of creating shapes, and assist as you create your own unique design.

Slate Painting
Scientists have linked creative expression to overall wellness, brain stimulation, and stress reduction. Art also enhances cognitive abilities, stimulates imagination, sharpens problem solving skills, and so much more! Art in Mind is a wellness studio that emphasizes the powerful effects that art has on the soul. Students must withdraw five business days before the start of the course for a full refund.
Join the experienced educators from Art in Mind in painting a holiday scene on beautiful genuine roofing slate removed from an Adirondack home! You will learn techniques for painting on natural stone, as well as many other painting techniques, as we walk you through this project. All supplies included. No experience necessary.
